As a healthy school, we encourage children to make sensible choices about their eating habits. We model this through the school meals and ensure that children have regular access to drinking water by providing new water bottles each year.
Children enjoy eating a healthy and nutritious lunch in a friendly atmosphere. Children can choose from 2 main meals, a jacket potato or a sandwich, which is all locally sourced and cooked on the premises. This contributes to our ‘Bronze Food for Life award’.
Key Stage 1 pupils (Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2) are entitled to free school meals. In Key Stage 2 meals are priced at £2.30 a day.
Free school meals for Key Stage 2 are available to some children. Further information is available by following this link
Many children in school are enjoying milk through the cool milk programme, the latest government initiative to ensure that children increase their calcium intake.
Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 receive fruit every day. Children in KS2 are welcome to bring in a piece of fruit to eat at playtime.
