Children whose 11th birthday is on or before 31st August will transfer to Secondary education commencing in the September. Children will normally transfer to Richmond School or St Francis Xavier. Parents may exercise their right of choice in this matter and transfer to other secondary schools if places are available.
There is excellent liaison between Trinity Richmond Academy and all the local secondary schools. To ease transfer the children receive visits in school from secondary school staff and are invited to spend days in their new school as part of their induction.
A letter is sent home to parents in the Autumn Term asking for their preference of secondary schools. Open evenings are held in the Autumn Term of your child’s final year of primary school. Parents who are undecided are welcome to discuss secondary transfer with the Head Teacher.
