‘Curiosity is the wick in the candle of learning.’ W.A.Ward
A warm welcome to Trinity Academy Richmond Early Years Foundation Stage. Fun, laughter and smiles as wide as rivers can be seen in our provision.
Underpinned by our school vision, our EYFS philosophy is that every individual is encouraged and supported to believe in themselves and each other by working hard, having pride in their work and achieving their dreams. This is achieved through an appropriate range of experiences and engaging and inspiring curriculum, enhanced by meaningful play. We inspire and nurture each unique individual to achieve their full potential within our safe, happy and loving, learning environment.
‘If children feel safe they can take risks, ask questions, make mistakes, learn to trust, share their feelings and grow.’ A.Kohn
In our setting, the children are at the heart of everything we do and our enthusiastic and dedicated foundation stage team excite children with the stimulus of play. Using the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework, practitioners use observational assessments to plan and provide multiple opportunities for children to explore. It ignites their natural curiosity in stimulating environments, both indoors and outdoors, encouraging every child to play, splash, dig, build, sing, dance and most importantly laugh.
‘Play is our brains favourite way of learning’ D.Ackerman.
Learning is based on a wide range of opportunities both within school and beyond, which help the children to grow academically, spiritually and emotionally. We aim in the foundation stage to plant the seeds to help underpin the Christian values of the school: Respect, Perseverance and Trust. through a welcoming and caring learning environment in which pupils share the motivational motto ‘Dream, Believe, Achieve’.
‘Believing means achieving. It’s up to you. You decide your path. Your dreams will never fade unless YOU give up, and it’s important to never give up on your dreams. You’ve got what it takes to achieve anything.’
We believe that early childhood education provides the essential foundation for all future learning. Above all, we look to nurture self-confidence, inspire imaginations and create capable and independent learners to help prepare children for a positive and happy transition to the next step in their school life.
If you are in receipt of 15 or 30 hours funding you are able to use those funded hours at our Nursery. We also offer wrap around care with a breakfast club from 7.50 am and after school care until 5:30 pm. Please see the admissions section of the website for further details.
